Leaving Lyon

This is our last blog from Lyon and also France. Tomorrow we head off for Rome and then Florence. At the moment though the weather isn't so great in a lot of Europe so it should be interesting tomorrow. Now to our last day and why is it the last day when you find the best food so far. The day before we had been on a walking tour and he recommended some restaurants for us. We went to one today and omg the food was amazing. Now I never thought that I would eat chicken liver loaf, but after the cooking class in Paris I thought I would give it ago. As Julie would say it changed my life. It was in this like pumpkin type sauce and was yummy. Next was chicken in a vinegar sauce, yummy and yep you guessed it dessert was yummy. The only thing we didn't like was the atmosphere, it was a bit posh and well there was only us and one other group of people. Lucky we were dressed in our best travelling gear ( hee hee). They were nice and all but you know the feeling. The afternoon was spent travelling around on public transport as you got to see stuff and it was warm. Back to hotel for some reading and research for tea. In the end we walked around the block and ended up eating at our favourite pizza place. Great way to finish our stay. France has been fantastic and the food amazing. The wine has been good, our favourite red has been cote de Rhone. Brett loves froi grais and sautern. Our time with Isabelle was amazing and we will so be seeing each other again. The French people have been friendly and welcoming. We will miss France and even England but onto the next part, learning italian. Wish us luck.
