Day trip Arcachon

Day trip day. We decided to head to the seaside town of Arcachon. 1hr by train and you arrive at the lovely seaside town. However what they should of put up at the train station was we are closed for the winter. There were major works going on all around the town. This town is very similar to Noosa and it would be a lovely place to visit in Summer. I mean it was lovely in winter but with nothing open, it was a stroll along the water front to find somewhere open for lunch. We thought we would have a lovely seafood meal.

I love this photo. I was testing out this feature on my camera (no one around to steal the camera). Where it will take a photo when you smile. We were sitting there and this lady rode straight through the shot and then continued to apologise to us as she rode on and well you have this awesome shot.

This beach and area is normally filled with people but as you can see no one is around.

Made it hard to find something to eat so in the end we gave up and went to the pub that was open. Better to have a cheap meal and have a nice meal tonight then waste the day. It was 1.30 again so I was getting very hungry.

This place doesn't look like much on the outside but when you go in it was very busy. We had plate of the day fish and it was very lovely and some wine, so the day was not lost at all. It did however eat into our budget as to get there and back was 40 euro.

So tonight we went to supermarket and got pre made salad, microwave meals and some wine. All for 12 euro. Awesome. So off to find some wine bars tomorrow. Our days here are getting shorter and well we haven't really touched the surface. We could spend another month here and still not have done and looked at everything.
