Our last day

Oh, to sleep in. It has been wonderful. Both Brett and i have a cold and well I didn't sleep so well last night so it was nice to sleep and we didn't head to breakfast until 9am. our plan for the day was to walk around the city and just explore and then go do the tour of the church. So we ended up at a pub at 11.30 this morning. it was so funny as the guy trying to light the fire had no clue. He used like a half a pakcet of fire lighters to get it going and before that he had started it but it sort of went out so he got the young fella to take out all the wood (yes it was still burning) and put it outside so that he could start it again. I so wanted to take over. Here is a photo of the completed job.

Since we were close to the church we thought would pop in and check out the time only to find that the tour was booked out. Now there was no where that told us on Tuesday that you could book or that they would only have one. So it was very frustrating. However the church was still amazing and for those of you that know your history (not me) they had one of the last 4 remaining magna carta's in history. Brett will have to explain this to you all if you don'\t know when we get back. The sun was out today so the church looked completely different.

This is such a lovely place to reflect and to think of god or whatever you believe. Lunch was provided by M&S today and then guess what I got to go to the movies. We went and saw Sherlock homes.

I needed a sleep after this so we went back to the hotel. I had a nap for a while and then it was dinner time. We found this thai food pub/restaurant. The food was great but I think the guy that owned it was a bit strange. So we walk in and most places have a couple of guest beers/ales. You can ask for a 'taster', so brett wanted to try one of the two guest ales that they had and the guy was saying that he would have to go out the back to get it. Brett said yes that would be great and then the guy pours him a taster of the other beer like he didn't even hear him. Then brett made comment about the other beer but the guys was doing everything he can not to go get this beer. It was like faulty towers. Lucky the food and the beer he did get to try was awesome. Great meal. On to the last pub of our trip. The Red Lion. A another great pub, great service.

We have loved England so much and it has been an awesome time. Tomorrow we are homeless again until we reach Paris. Love Monique, Brett, Marty, Kiwi and Hooter
