How the sun does shine

I know you will be sick of me writing about how wonderful Bordeaux is. There will be people out there that think Bordeax sucks. If so I don't want to hear from you. I can't believe we have been here so long and each day we love it more.

We never seem to start our days early. A sleep in, get ready, find breakfast, lunch in the middle a walk around, a nap in the middle of the afternoon and then back out for the night.

How will I ever return to the real world.

Today we got up late, breakfast at a local cafe (awesome).Tram ride across and change over and onto the other side. This area is much better than the other day. Back to the main part of the city. Lunch time. I know it creeps up so quickly, especially when you leave your room so late. Loving the lay in and just hanging out.

Lunch today at Belle Epoque (i think that is how it is spelt). It is our favourite restaurant. So for 15 euros each you get an entree and a main. The entree was some sort of shortbread with roasted veggies on top. Yum. Main course was a casoulet.

My god this was awesome, I couldn't finish it and it leaves you full for the rest of the day. This place has the best food. I know we should try other places but well they are the best.

So if you ever wondered how the move furniture into buildings that have no lift or a lift that fits like three people in it, I am happy to help answer that question.

That is some sort of cupboard on a elevator thingy that they put on and then take it down or up. I don't know how much it costs but well it is interesting.

Look Brett fell down. Ok no he didn't the day was so nice that we were laying in the area along the river and just enjoying ourselves. It was so nice to see the sun.

Just so you all know, love is the same in all countries. The following photos show the photos of a couple courting and in love.

The love dance seems to be the same world wide.

Here are some photos of the day in the sun.

Me trying to be artistic.

How cute is the little cherub. There were great places all over this city today with the sun shining. We walked all over and sat in places (squares) where all the french people are sunning themselves. We watched a homeless man go along the tables and take something from one and put it on another. Or grab a cup from one and the go along and put it somewhere else or just keep it. It was so interesting watching him. He would take something from one table at a cafe and walk along. It did't matter if someone was at the table or not. It was so entertaining. We came across this busker and omg he was amazing to listen to. I could have moved him somewhere close to seats so we could sit and watch and listen.

I keep looking for the perfect hat and got a bit closer today but not quite. Some of you nearly got macaroon rings. The had these little rings and they had little macaroons on them.

After several hours of wandering the streets it was time to go home and have a sleep ready for this evening.

Ok, 6.30pm it was time to go back out and find "Le wine bar". Julie and anna I have found the place for us to own and work. This place is amazing. When we arrived it was empty. The owner is amazing. We found this place because of Trip Advisor. It is so worth the trip. He was amazing to watch. So when we arrived he gave us his undivided attention. By the time we left the place was full and he would greet everyone, have conversations with them, take orders. go back through out the night and talk to them. It was so great to watch. He was the perfect host. We had 3 glasses of wine with some snacks. He picked each wine for us and told us about them, where they were from etc.

DID I MENTION WE LOVE THIS CITY.

It is going to be hard to leave in two days time. I think if we could live anywhere it would be here. I know there have been several places. I can not sing the praises of this place any more. The food, the people, the wine. The transport getting around is so easy.

How do I decide.

Love Monique, Brett, Marty, Kiwi and Hooter

kids gave me Zumbo's cookbook and so Kassidy is planning on making some weird flavoured macaroons ... if we can find powdered egg whites that it!
